Ensure a drug-free workplace from the very first working day. Provsvaret offers pre-employment drug testing as part of the recruitment process, with baseline screening via urine, saliva or hair samples. All positive screening results are verified by accredited laboratory analysis and can, where needed, be reviewed by an MRO physician, for a secure, legally robust and professional process.

LC-MS/MS confirmation of all substances.
Positive results are reviewed by an MRO physician.
We help you choose the right pre-employment drug test and decide which substances should be analysed based on the role's risk level, duties, industry and your organisation's needs.
The drug test is planned as part of the recruitment process. The candidate can provide a sample at one of our partner units or carry out sampling with a test kit, depending on the chosen method and set-up.
Sampling can be carried out with a urine, saliva or hair sample, depending on the detection window and level of security you require. Urine and saliva sampling can in some cases be carried out with an included sampling kit.
Screening results that require verification are sent to an accredited laboratory for confirmatory analysis, for example using LC-MS/MS. Final laboratory results are normally provided within 1 to 2 working days of the sample arriving at the laboratory.
In the event of positive or atypical results, the test result can be reviewed by an MRO physician before a final decision is issued. The result is then reported digitally to the authorised HR function or another designated contact person.

Yes, in certain cases employers can require a pre-employment drug test, particularly when the position involves safety-sensitive duties or other elevated risk. The testing should be objectively justified, relevant to the role and carried out in a legally robust manner with clear information to the candidate. The employer is not required to have an alcohol and drug policy in order to carry out pre-employment drug testing, but it is often an advantage to have clear routines and terms documented as part of the recruitment process.
